Lunch Is On You

You’ve seen this a zillion times, but maybe one of your friends hasn’t. Ask him how many “F’s” he can see in the blocked in sentence. If he can’t find them all, he buys lunch. Give him as much time as he wants. Go ahead. I’ll wait.

Okay. How many did you find? Two? Three? Great. But wrong.

How about six? Where are the three most people miss? The word “of”. It’s in there three times. Why did the mind miss them? Because we pronounce “of” as “ov” and the mind simply overlooks it.

If you had a strategy, you could have found all six. For example, read the sentence word for word backwards and you’ll see them. Or turn it upside down and you’ll see them. Or circle every “F”.

Lesson? Don’t overlook the obvious. Many times the answer is staring back at you if you change your strategies.
